Monday Recap for 2/13/12

Happy Valentine’s Eve. Raise your cuppa with me: ” To love’s eternal glory!”

Hey, I finally added that “submit a deal” feature. It’s not so much a feature as just a fancy contact form. It’s located at the top menu of the page. Someone find a deal and try it out!

Monday Recap for 2/6/12

Did you watch that football thing yesterday? Nope, me neither. Puppy Bowl for life!

Before I get to the deals, I wanted to highlight a few new site features.

Now under every post, you’ll see links to interact with each deal. You can report if something is wrong, share it with your BFFs, or you can be my BFF (I moved the follow TeaDeals links from the sidebar to here).

I’m most proud of the wonderful “Report a Problem” link. So check it out. Ooooo fancy. Feel free to send me top secret messages.

Oh and I completely slacked on adding something to allow you pretty folks to submit a deal you’ve found. Coming soon… no joke.

Annnnnd finally, if you are a Tea Vendor/Company, consider Sponsoring A Deal. Show the tea world whatchu got!

Monday Recap for 1/30/12

It’s Monday, Monday. Gotta get dow….  never mind.

Meh, I don’t have anything interesting/funny to start with.

Sometime this week, I’ll be adding a few new features to the site.

First: I will be adding a ”Submit a Deal” form- I mean there is the Contact form… but that’s so boring. I’ll probably include something simple in the sidebar for yous guys to submit deals you may know about that’s not been listed.

Second: I will add a small link to each deal that you can use to report a deal if it’s dead or broken or wrong or you want to complain that it totally sucks.

Finally, if you are a new subscriber to TeaDeals then welcome to your first Monday Recap. Yay, exciting. Each Monday I just list all of the still active deals.

Yep.

Monday Recap for 1/23/12

Hello, hello. Look at that, it’s Monday again. Hey, check me out mom, the site’s had a fancy redesign!

I made some big changes to the site but the biggest, perhaps,  is the  ”Featured Deal(s)” section at the top of the main page. This will be a spot for any deals that are exclusive to TeaDeals or if there’s something I think is worth featuring. Right now, there is an exclusive deal from Teavivre that runs through January 31. So check it out and buy some tea!

Aside from that, I made a bunch of cosmetic changes and whatnot.

Don’t forget that you can sign up for e-mail notifications of new deals and other site updates by filling out the “TeaDeals In Your Inbox” widget in the sidebar. You’ll get an email at the end of the day (around 5-7pm) if I’ve added anything new to the site. There’s also the RSS Feed, Facebook Page, and Twitter Account you can use to stay up to date.

Thanks for all the new visitors from Reddit and Steepster. I appreciate all the support!

Monday Recap for 1/16/12

It’s MLK day. Take a moment to honor the man’s legacy and watch his last speech.

In other news, in two days (on 1/18) TeaDeals will participating in the worldwide SOPA/PIPA Blackout. This subject matter goes far beyond what can be covered here, so I recommend seeing http://americancensorship.org/ and http://www.reddit.com/r/sopa for more information on the subject.

Happy New Year! Here’s to a great 2012!

All Active Deals

Edit: Hey email subscribers, sorry this didn’t get to your inbox on Monday. I guess I didn’t post it in time before Feedburner sent it out.

Monday Recap 12/26/11

Starting every Monday, I will be posting a “Monday Recap” listing deals that are still active. Since the front page shows the 10 most recent posted deals, many older deals that are ongoing/run for weeks or even months at a time easily get buried.

Of course there’s the ‘All Active Deals‘ link up top but even with that you’ll need to scroll down the page, click for older entries, and so on. Too much work ;)

If you like it, love it, or think it’s a completely lame idea, please let me know. If you have any suggestions or feedback please use the contact page or send an email to brian {[at]} teadeals {[d.o.t]} com (get out of here you email harvesting bots!). I’ve already had several folks send me emails about various things and I greatly appreciate it!

Since this is something new I’ll be trying out, I’ll disclose that I may change how I format this info or may move it to Sunday. Who knows…

Maybe I should call it the “Monday TEAcap…” heh heh he… anyone? No??

Yeah, forget I ever said that.

So that’s that. On to the good stuff.

*Phew* That was quite the deals extravaganza

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed and there were A TON of great deals. I hope your wallets aren’t suffering too much :) .

I want to thank everyone who stopped by this crazy, little ol’ site called TeaDeals. It’s very encouraging to see numbers on the Google Analytics page that reflect visitors other than my mom. I want to give an especial thanks to folks coming from Reddit; you accounted for about 65% of the traffic!

If you are on Twitter, please take a moment and follow me @Tea_Deals.

If you are on Facebook, consider liking the TeaDeals Page. Right now, I’m not sure I want to manage a Facebook page too (other than posting my Twitter updates there). So if that is something you are interested in me having, please show your support by giving it a thumbs up.

Finally, you can get E-Mail Updates via the RSS link to the right.

That’s it and that’s all… for now.
